Jen Janet is a classically trained vocalist and songwriter. She is one of the founding members of alternative rock and metal band, Blind Revision. In 2020 and 2021 she began releasing singles for her solo project, and continues to write music blending electronic, rock and metal influences for the solo project. All singles released in 2021 are paired with music videos directed and edited by Jen, and are viewable on Youtube.
In March 2017, she also released her debut pop music EP, Dangerous. The song ‘Dangerous’ was licensed and featured in three episodes in season 13 of Real Housewives of Atlanta, on the Bravo television network. The upbeat project gained favorable reviews from various publications including Vents magazine and CelebMix. Other songs from the EP have been licensed for media placements in mobile apps in both Korea and Turkey.
With her former band Blind Revision, Jen Janet shared the stage with internationally touring acts: Saving Abel, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Motionless in White, Puddle of Mudd, Buckcherry, The Amity Affliction, Devildriver, Amorphis, and many more.
In 2018, the band was nominated for best hard rock/metal act of the year in the New England music awards. Blind Revision was also nominated for best rock/metal and hardcore act in 2017 for the Worcester music awards, and in 2018 for Rhode Island’s Motif Magazine music awards. Motif Magazine also nominated Jen Janet for best female vocalist the same year.
The singer/songwriter is also an accomplished writer. Jen Janet was published in the 2011 America Library of Poetry. Various short stories and essays of hers have also been published in Skipping Stones Magazine.
Jen Janet is a published model and has walked the runway for notable designers such as Nathalia JMag, who was featured in season 15 of the TV show Project Runway. She has also done promotional modeling for brands such as Subaru, Hood milk, Bacardi rum, Modelo beer and Yuengling beer. She also starred in a Gozu music video for the song “They Probably Know Karate,” released via Metal Blade Records.
In her spare time, Jen enjoys sci-fi and action movies, traveling to faraway places, rum, and reading far too many books. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology. Psychological imagery is used frequently in her lyrics, and Jen’s songs are highly influenced by social concepts and discussions surrounding human nature.
